Mass Spectrometry Applications Specialist at Bruker South Region of South America (SRSA)

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Field Applications Specialist in our Applied Division supporting our sales and service teams across the South Region of South America (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia).

The key focus of the role is growing our mass spec revenue in the South America by pre-sales activities to support the local sales team, demonstration of our mass spectrometers to customers as well as application support and customer training, and post-sale support of our mass spectrometers installed base.

Responsibilities

 

  • Pre-sales support by joining the Bruker SRSA sales force at customer sites for sales visits and sales discussions about Bruker’s mass spectrometry solutions
  • Sales support and lead generation, by demonstrating the usage at customer sites during trainings, support events etc.
  • Demonstration of Bruker’s mass spectrometry solutions in the Bruker demo lab, or at customer sites
  • Processing of sample evaluations for customers and generation of result reports. Presentation of the results to the customers, either onsite or remote.
  • Active participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions, including booth duty and consultation for interested prospects.
  • Providing high level customer trainings for new and existing customer, provide the best possible customer support (remote or on-site).
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of products and software tools.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or related field. 
  • Practical experience in using mass spectrometry technology (QTOF, TQ, MRMS…). Proven proficiency in chromatographic separations, previous hands-on experience with DART is a plus.
  • A thorough understanding of the role of mass spectrometry, in particular LC/MS, as well as of its challenges in chemical analysis, focusing on food and environmental analysis, forensics, toxicology and polymer and oil analysis.
  • Extended experience on screening and quantification of molecules as well as data processing excellence.
  • Excellent ability and willingness to communicate and closely interact with our customers.
  • Willingness to travel within South America for approx. 50% of the time. International travels possible as well (internal trainings and meetings, participation in instrument demonstrations in the Buker labs in USA, Spain and/or Germany, potential support of other territories on a case-per-case basis)
  • Experienced PC user with knowledge of MS Office
  • Continuous customer support via emails and phone calls in a timely manner. 
  • Experience with high volume customer support. 
  • Flexibility, the ability to work in a team, self-motivation and commitment.
  • Professional knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and English.
  • Based in our facility in Atibaia, SP
