Bruker’s Semiconductor Division is the leader in automated atomic force microscopy (AAFM) and advanced X-ray metrology and defect inspection tools for the silicon and compound semiconductor industries. The division offers the most comprehensive portfolio tools, based on X-ray technologies including XRR (X-ray reflectometry), XRF (X-ray fluorescence), XRD (X-ray diffraction), XRDI (X-ray diffraction imaging) and others. The X-ray business unit is based in Migdal Ha’Emek, Israel with facilities in Durham UK, Karlsruhe, Germany and support offices and sales representatives worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Designing a complete and complex framework, system, or product.
  • Defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Conceiving system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses.
  • Influencing the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
  • Providing multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
  • Leading new products developments of tool’s Architecture and design
  • Preparing PRD’s and leading Design-reviews
  • Leading the integration process of the Alpha and Betha tools, optimizing tool configurations
  • Transferring to production: develop and document calibration and alignments process, prepare tool’s characterization test plans, develop test-jigs, train Tech-Support and production team
  • Characterization and integration on platform of new components
  • Supporting field tools
  • Up to 30% travel availability

 We are looking for a person with a pragmatic and results oriented attitude to work on challenging projects that will impact current and future products.

Qualifications

  • M.S or Ph.D in Physics or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years as a system or application engineer in the Semiconductors technology.
  • Good understanding of motion control and accurate motion
  • Experience with optical systems
  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently as well as part of a small team on challenging problems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (English and Hebrew)
  • Communicate clearly and concisely (English), including mathematical descriptions without omitting the details
