We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist (m/f/d) for Europe in the field of single crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD). The position is available immediately and would be based in home office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining ongoing contact with the SC-XRD user base in Europe via attendance at scientific conferences and workshops, on-site visits to SC-XRD laboratories and remote communications

  • Close collaboration with our Sales team to foster the expansion of new customer business

  • Close collaboration with our Service team to promote customer satisfaction and sustainable customer retention 

  • Clarification of technical customer inquiries with the involvement of the specialist departments at the Karlsruhe production site

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or comparable degree in the natural sciences (physics, chemistry, materials science, etc.).

  • Extensive, hands-on experience in SC-XRD

  • Several years of sales experience in selling complex systems of analytical technology is a plus.

  • Excellent skills in supporting and communicating with demanding customers, ideally in the field of instrumental analysis or complex technical industrial products

  • Ideally high interest in analytical chemistry, materials research, mineralogy, process and quality control, or crystallography and related analytical solutions

  • Organizational skills, structured work style and adherence to deadlines

  • Convincing verbal and written communication skills in explaining complex technical issues to customers

  • Good command of written and spoken English is mandatory. Fluency in German and French is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel frequently, about 50 % (mostly day trips in the region)
